The 2008 San Francisco LGBT Parade The 2008 LGBT Pride Celebration

The 2008 San Francisco LGBT Parade

Dennis and I marched in the 2008 San Francisco LGBT Parade held June 29th, 2008. We joined Assemblyman Mark Leno's contingent down Market Street. The crowds were the biggest ever for the Gay Pride Parade in San Francisco. Gay Marriage and equality were the issues of the day in light of California's Supreme Court rulling overturning Proposition 22 ruling it unconstitutional. The atmosphere at the parade and festival was festive and everyone was having a great time. We enjoyed listening to various speeches by Mayor Gavin Newson and others on the main stage.

The LGBT Pride Celebration at Civic Center Plaza

The Pride Festival was most enjoyable with lots of booths and entertainment. We took time to listen speakers like Mayor Gavin Newsom, State Assemblyman & Senator Elect Mark Leno among others at the main stage. We attended an event inside City Hall which was a lot of fun.
