Dave enjoys participation in sports. His first love has always been long distance bicycling. Past accomplishments include a solo US cross-county trip in two stages (1983 and 1984) and riding a triple Century in 1979. Over the years he enjoyed participation in bicycle club rides. Long distance rides are his favoirites. In the late 80's Dave began competitive bicycle racing. He participated in sanctioned USCF bicycle races in Northern California. During that period he enjoyed opportunities to race in race in Japan and Canada. On the sidelines when not competing Dave supports sports causes. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of Team San Francisco (1993 - 1998). In 1991 Dave discovered the sport of freestyle wrestlng as a member of the Golden Gate Wrestling Club in San Francisco and participated in past open competitions in New York City (1994), Amsterdam (1998) and Sydney (2002). Dave is an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Oakland Raiders and the Oakland Athletics.
