Manhattan, NY,Brooklyn, NY

The second half of the vacation trip was spent at the Hotel Pennsylvania on 33rd St and 7th Ave. across from Madison Square Garden in Manhatten, NY. During the in Manhatten we walked about in the Village, Theater District (42nd Street), Financial District (Wall Street) and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge. Time was taken to remember those lost during 9/11 at Ground Zero (World Trade Center). Visits were made to the Empire State Building, New York Transit Museum, Rockerfeller Center and St. Patrick’s Cathedral.

All three nights in Manhattan were spent attending Broadway shows. The first night Dave and Dennis enjoyed the The Producers (Musical). The second night they saw Chicago (Musical). After the show they met and posed for pictures with Krissy Richmond (who played Hunyak), Roz Ryan who played Matron “Mama” Morton and Paige Davis who played Roxie Hart. On the third night they saw The Boy from OZ (Musical). As a nice bonus at the end, the trip concluded with a nice flight home.

A lot of fun was had visiting the shops and buying postcards and Christmas decorations for the tree to reminder us of our travels to the Big Apple. A good time was had at Planet Hollywood for dinner and even saw Tom Cruise across the street looking out a window of a night club.
