Departure & First Sea Day

San Francisco, CA
September 15, 2005

The pictures below were taken during our departure from the San Francisco Bay Area under the Golden Gate Bridge.

The times at sea were great and most relaxing. The pictures below were taken during various days at sea. Dennis and I even braved the decks outside during stormy seas with 25 foot swells.

1st Port Stop

Vancouver, Canada
September 17, 2005

The pictures below were taken during our brief visit to Vancouver. We did some shopping and ate lunch in the Gas Town District of Vancouver. The city was beautiful and always an great place to visit.

The Inside Passage
September 18, 2005

The Inside Passage was really beautiful with its mountains. The weather made the experience better with off and on rains during the day allowing for rainbows and patchy fog layers.

Hubbard Glacier at Yukatat Bay
September 18, 2005

The weather was cold and rainy but it was worth it taking the pictures and seeing the claciers melt down crashing to the water.

2nd Port Stop

Icy Strait Point, Alaska
September 20, 2005

The visit to Icy Strait Point was most enjoyable. We took a wild life excursion and saw some bears and bald eagles during the day.

The pictures below were taken during the Romote Bush Exploration & Wildlife Search. The trip took us through Tlingit Village of Hoonah and into the romote bush area of the Spasski River Valley.
